For me, painting is all about getting lost in the minutiae of details. I love capturing the furry body of a moth or the faintest highlight on the tip of a flower petal. Every detail tells a story. Layering details breathes soul into every painting.

My take on our local Horrible Thistle surrounded by Hoverflies. These minute insects, that look a lot like tiny bees, are important pollinators.
